Whitton may be wonderful.
It has Kneller Hall, home of the Royal Military School of Music:

…and lots of other goodies. But sometimes it's weird Whitton.

And then there's the story of the disappearing box. Whitton used to have a phone box on the site pictured below, which then got changed to a phone and advert monstrosity: |

With the shop to the left putting its wares on the pavement which it owns, there wasn't much room for people. And I always remember the old adage 'Pavements are for people'. (We should put that in the Highway Code.) However, a few days later the monstrosity had been reduced to the following: |

Well, it gave the fit amongst us a sporting chance of hurdling the obstruction. However, a few days later this was the scene: |

As today's children might say: "It's well weird, mister."
Of course, not all Whitton residents are perfect, and age is no barrier to stupidity:
