IT'S SHOWTIME!

Yes, our own David Hamilton has been busy on a book about his life as a Fulham supporter. In the picture below he proudly holds a printed sheet as it comes off the press.

A Fulhamish Tale is David's own real-life Fulham story - from supporting the club as a boy when he lived by Putney Bridge, to becoming a director of the club, right up to his time as the club's famed matchday announcer.

A Fulhamish Tale is an affectionate look at our club, full of wit and drama and lots of laughs (not all at Les Strong's expense).

Packed with pictures, including many from David's archive as well as Ashwater's Fulham archive, A Fulhamish Tale is a dazzling tour de force from a master of words.

David's wife is quoted as saying "unputdownable" - and she was definitely referring to the book.

So, no joy up at Everton in April (though we did beat Liverpool at Anfield three days later!). We've never won there in the league. However, we did win there in the cup in 1975 on the way to the final, so here's our offer for the book that records the only time Fulham went to Wembley.

The whole cup run is brilliantly documented in the Ashwater book When Fulham Went to Wembley.

Here's a picture from that book, showing a stunned Goodison and a jubilant Fulham after the first goal in our 2-1 victory:
